I hit a milestone!! I’m so thankful to each and every person that follows this mess of a blog and keeps up with my crap, y’all deserve an award, honestly.

“You come later and later every time, Blackthorn,”

Jesse tried not to flinch at his words. The Prince of Hell was watching him, still in that irritatingly familiar shape- his face was so like Lucie’s, yet it was impossible to believe she shared a drop of blood with this monster. His mind flashed back to the conversation they’d had just that night, when she had returned from her training, and began running a brush through her hair. 

“Jesse,” she’d asked him, setting down the brush and turning to face him- her eyes were that same startling blue that had caught his interest when they’d first met in that forest, “where do you go, when the sun comes up? What happens to you?”

“I don’t know,” he’d lied, and she had nodded, trusting him fully.

“Apologies. I was delayed.” he said to the demon now. The Prince of hell only nodded, and gestured for Jesse to return to his work.

There’s so much to love, honestly, but lets start with the fact that you are such an amazing friend, and I love talking to you so so much! Its been forever since I got to see you (f u covid) but I still love you sooo much!!! You’re an AMAZING writer, like JAW-DROPPING kind of amazing, its stunning. Thanks for dealing with my bullshit on a regular basis and somehow still helping me out with my fics when I’m panicking. You’re amazing. <3

“You proposed, what? Five times?” she said, counting them off on her fingers, “you gave me the Lantsov emerald, offered me the role of queen-”

“I heard saints were very hard to please,”

“I heard kings were worse.”

“I guess we’ll find out, won’t we?”

Alina smiled despite herself, her eyes drifting over to the city of Os Alta, laid out before them, and she slipped her hand into Nikolai’s, the emerald on her finger just the right weight. The weight of a kingdom, maybe, but it was one they both shared.

ohh hard one, but I think you’d REALLY enjoy Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, its a big heist, murder babies, crew you’ll love. Fantastic

On the off chance you’ve read that, a less popular but just as great series is Renegades by Marissa Meyer- superheroes but its not cringe I promise lmao

Teddyyyy god where do I start?? You’re such a kind person, to literally everyone, and even though we don’t talk much, I love seeing you on my dash! Your art is incomparibe, I loVE your style, especially the hair (weird ik) but you draw the hair so well and so differently for each character, and its amazing! My favorites I think are your Diana Wrayburn art and your Lucie Herondale, although honestly everything you draw is gorgeous!

Ariadne shut the door to her room quietly, as not to wake anyone at such a late hour. She brushed a few stray locks of hair aside and turned to her bed, then froze, a gasp escaping her lips. At the window- perched with one leg hanging over the side and reading from what seemed to be a journal- was Anna Lightwood.

She shut the book with a snap, piercing blue eyes raising to meet Ariadne’s and said: “Apologies Miss Bridgestock, but it seems I require your assistance.”

Lucie smiled at a little boy that passed her by, and gave him a little wave which he reciprocated, and smiled with two missing front teeth.

“Yes, smile at the girl with the sword,” Jesse muttered from beside her. When the boy’s mother seemed to notice the waving, and the sword, she quickly grabbed his arm and hurried to the other side.

“You know, Jesse, I’m here to help you, and all you’re doing is scaring away children.” she said, turning to face him. Jesse raised a brow.

“I don’t have a sword,”

“You’re invisible.” 

“Not for much longer,” he replied, a small, boyish grin coming over his face, not unlike the little kid that had just been pulled away. Lucie let herself smile as well. Tonight, if all went well, she would have her Jesse alive, and real, and hopefully also carrying a sword.

Sidenote I was gonna say you’re Kaz from the dregs but tbh you’re too nice to be Kaz, so that’s your own fault. Okay real compliment time: you’re such a great person! Surprisingly nice, again, and suuuper supportive to like everyone which is always awesome! You can’t seem to accept it, but you have such a great voice like for the love of god narrate audiobooks?? And your edits are FANTASTIC like literally the level of creativity exceeds every expectation every single time. My faves are: the Zoya edit and The Goldfinch edit!
