"is there an airport nearby or is that just my heart taking off?" for gil and scott, maybe?
Scott stretched, hearing his joints pop and winced at the sound; he’s been going over reports for awhile now. A quick glance at the bed told him that Sara was still out and an idea formed. Sending a quick message to her omni-tool in case she woke up while he was still gone, Scott ran a hand through his hair (hopefully to fluff it and not make it look like he had bedhead) before exiting into the busy hub of the Hyperion.
It had only been a few months since he’d activated Meridian but things were still somewhat chaotic, although one of the first makeshift buildings to go up was a bar; a decision that Scott wholeheartedly approved of. Making his way towards said building (although it barely counted as a building because it was just three prefab walls and roof) he sat at the bar and felt the tension leave his body as the glass of whatever was available was set in front of him.
“Is there an airport nearby or is that just my heart taking off?”
Scott looked up as Gil sat next to him and shook his head while chuckling. “That’s incredibly lame you know that right?”
“I thought it was funny.” Gil shrugged while motioning for a glass.
“Only in the sense that it’s bad.”
“Good thing you already like me.”
Scott looked at Gil and smiled, “Well it’s a little late to back out now.” He leaned towards Gil and gave the man a quick kiss. “Besides, you know how lame jokes make me feel.”
Gil returned the kiss, “Of course, that’s why I made it.”
Scott laughed and threw back the contents of his glass before getting up and pulling Gil with him. “C’mon, lets see how long I can disappear before Addison notices.”
