So I found out I have vasovagal syncope.
What is that, you ask? Basically, it means my nervous system sometimes overreacts to certain triggers — things like pain, intense emotion, or even the sight of blood — and suddenly my heart rate and blood pressure drop.
The result? I faint.
Like, full-on, lights-out, hit-the-floor faint. 😵💫
It’s called vasovagal syncope (vaso = blood vessels, vagal = vagus nerve, syncope = fainting). It’s more common than people think, but often misunderstood or missed entirely.
If you’ve ever passed out “randomly,” especially in emotional or medical situations, this might be something to look into. There’s no cure, but knowing your triggers and how to manage them can really help.
✨ Sharing this in case it helps someone else put the pieces together. You’re not weird, dramatic, or broken — your body is just doing its best with faulty wiring sometimes. 💜
