Assignment, take your cameras and adventurous spirits and explore what Providence truly has to offer, both good and bad(you can do opinion pieces but check your facts) What's happening here? What traditions should be shared? Who lives here? etc. Track your explorations through photographs and short blurbs of explanation. Perhaps point out things like warehouses turned risd studios, past corrupt leaders locals still have fondness for, cambodian gangs, coffee milk, student hill isolation, tunnels (tunnels at brown that connect their buildings..?) etc/ any others you can think of... CONCEPT ∆ Exchange: Idea Sharing, from local to global and back again Urban Interest / Wire Frame... / Urban Wire... A website resource that allows you to see into the urban, suburban and exurban communities around the world, to share and exemplify both the positive and negative elements that form the identity of a place and the projects that encourage their traditions, productivity and innovations. Think pinterest with a goal of productive exchange of activity between towns, neighborhoods and cities. Urban Interest, is a photo journalistic, information and ideas sharing resource that allows users to create and manage urban-based intel such as news, projects, activity, events, traditions, historical intrigue and more. Users can browse other city specific profiles for inspiration, curiosity, as well as follow Urban Interest ambassadors who delve into communities to make apparent their identity via a timeline to easily track change in specific categories. This type of sharing can be used to exemplify projects and ideas in action, Is something working better or differently in another city? Can you learn or find inspiration or collaborate with others from other places? A long term goal would integrate transportation with the cyber thread to connect both people and ideas; and simultaneously, encourage reciprocated promotion. * This would be increasingly productive if the US actually developed a comprehensive rail system that could physically connect these places.
