My newest repaints and mods on my one sixth scale, 3D-modeled, resin artist-cast, Leon Scott Kennedy head sculpt (OG-RE4 version). I feel like I learn so much, when I do additive mods, that I just feel like modifying anything I come across. I wanted to mod my 1:6 Leon's head sculpt for a while, but I had to do a lot of work on my larger resin head sculpts. That I just put it away for so long. I have included the photos of the blank face, before I modified him many years ago now, as he arrived to me, in the last photo. As well as the new blank mods before and after sanding. The photo before the last, I took before sealing the paint work I did on the head sculpt this time.
I feel like I am getting closer to my ideal RE4 Leon. I don't know that I'll ever get there, but I can definitely see it's moving along nicely now. I believe getting his eyes just the right shape is going to be a royal pain in the gut-hole, because he is so tiny (yet, still giant headed for a 1:6 Japanese video game character's head sculpt). That, I'll probably never really get close to my ideal, but I will keep trying for as long as I am able to.
The eyes are what I worked on this time, but the whole face shape is way off, from the time I received him. He was given zero top eyelids, and a very long and rugged chin, which OR-RE4 Leon doesn't have. His face is very, very round-shaped. His eyes are very uniquely shaped as well, which is why I feel nobody gets him right (not even licensed figures/statues are accurate, IMHO).
I tried the two wigs I've made so far, that I feel are the most accurate right now. I know the colors are way off on both. However, I feel I can still stain the lighter one a bit darker and grayer, to achieve the color I am looking for. Or at least I hope so! I'm happy with him for now but definitely can see which parts I didn't do a good job on and what I need to improve on, next time! (:
