Clear curriculum for life-long learning

Curriculum is a broad and diverse area. Proper curriculum literally forms the bed-rock for how students gain knowledge, and, its delivery is critical in how students learn.  Curriculum, in its basic form, figures to touch all aspects of education; teachers, planning, implementation, revision and documentation. 

Focused schools also focus on the intended curriculum, insofar as what students need to know, how and when teachers implement plans for how students learn. (Curriculum framework for ACT schools 2010)

As an end-game, effective curriculum should engage and prepare students for life-long learning. In the age of rapid technological change and an information-based economy, its paramount educators prepare students to think critically (Centre for excellence in learning and teaching, 1998).

Clear, robust and meaningful learning objectives (LO’s) should be a fundamental component of targeted and achievable curriculum preparing students to not only thrive in society – but lead as well.
