Спутник ACRIM потерял связь с Землей.

Спутник NASA Active Cavity Radiometer Irradiance Monitor satellite, который 14 лет занимался наблюдениями за солнечным излучением, потерял контакт с командой операторов на Земле, в Лаборатории Реактивного Движения JPL, и его миссия объявлена завершенной.

Прибор ACRIM 3 стал третьим из серии спутниковых экспериментов, которые внесли значительный вклад в наши знанию о климате Земли: эти наблюдения велись на протяжении 36 лет, благодаря им исследователям стало известно общее количество солнечного излучения, достигающее Земли.

Связь со спутником, запуск которого состоялся 21 декабря 1999 года (запланированный срок миссии составлял 5 лет), была утеряна 14 декабря 2013 года. Попытки восстановить контакт не были успешными. Судя по всему, батарея спутника вышла из строя в связи с &chard Willson), главный исполнитель эксперимента ACRIM, использовал данные ACRIM для изучения циклов изменения солнечного излучения. Уиллсон смог соотнести некоторые регулярные циклы изменений излучения с выравниванием планет и их to the alignment of planets and their гравитационным влиянием на Солнце.

Brief Background:

He's one of those con artists on the streets working his magic with slight of hand tricks and robbing the people of Lincolnshire, one sucker at a time. He works on his own for the most part, but he's found himself working alongside with Megara (Fotos) whenever she can manage it. For the most part Hadley is very possessive of his spot on main street. That along with his history of violent tendencies has earned him his fair share of enemies with the other entertainers and even ended up in handcuffs once or twice.

Additional Background:

Hadley, or Hads as he preferred, has been on his own since his early teens when his single mother abandoned him. She left him $500, and a note saying she was sorry. Nothing else. Ever since then, he’s learned to fend for himself. After carelessly spending the money his mother left him on booze and drugs, the only thing he had left was a deck of cards. He learned how to use the cards to his advantage; making bets, doing ‘magic’ tricks, etc., while whoever he was working with (usually Chester) would pick-pocket the sidewalk stranger, unseen. Most of the time they got away with it. Randolph caught him on several ocassions, but Hads was able to get out of it through wit.

His life isn’t as glamorous as it seems, though. Hads struggles with drugs, and is more than once being taken care of by friends after being strung out for hours. Cocaine is one of his favorites, which at first makes him the life of the party, talking up every girl (sometimes guy) and dancing til he can’t dance anymore! Or has a panic fit and starts yelling at everyone, sometimes even breaking things. He’s tried more than once to not use, but he keeps going back. He knows it’s bad, but part of him doesn’t care. 

Hads has a difficult time trusting people other than Chester, due to his mother leaving him. In fact, he tends to be a bit sexist, assuming that all women will just leave no matter what and are heart breakers. He’s been slapped more than once. But it doesn’t bother him too much, and is still pretty much an okay guy.
