Hello everyone, just wanted to clear a few things up, because I know sometimes rules weren't cleared up or sometimes we're so excited and we miss something, but I'm just gonna go ahead and highlight a few things that we've seen that I think might need to be addressed.Â
No Introductions. Thereâs no need for your characters to introduce themselves since all the characters have grown in the same city. They should at the very least know each otherâs names. We highly recommend you briefly skim over bios you want your character to have a connection with.
Just wanted to clear up some confusion with this one. Everyone in Lincolnshire has been born and raised in Lincolnshire, so there's not a strong need for introductions, because most people would know each other, especially if they're a character that lives in the middle of things. The only thing that might be an exception is if a high society member, who has never left the North Sector, were to go out and explore the rest of Lincolnshire. For the most part, everyone knows each other, if at least by name, and depending on their status, occupation.
Tumblr. If itâs not a para or a short para gif chat, it is an online tumblr conversation.
What this means is basically, unless written in third person, or marked as a text exchange or phone call conversation, your characters are online, on Tumblr. This means that they aren't face to face conversations and shouldn't be recognized as such. This also means that, unless marked private, all information is privvy to whoever can read them, which kind of leads me to my next highlight.Â
Actions. *laughs* -awkwardly shuffles- (cries) these are just some examples that arenât allowed. If youâre on mobile then you donât post a gif but you donât put any actions.
Since everything that's not a para or gif para or chatzy para, is online, there is no need for any type of action to be recognized. That's what we have gifs for. Just imagine them as you would a personal tumblr for your character. You use gifs to convey a certain emotion when you post, but it is still just an online communication exchange.Â
I'm sorry if we weren't clear on these fronts, or if we've confused you in any way. We greatly appreciate the activity that's been floating around the dash and we love everyone here, really. We just want to make this experience a fun one, and the confusion lingering was a bit weird, I guess. But if you have any questions regarding anything I've highlighted, or anything at all, please, don't hesitate to ask! I'd love to make things easier for you! Thank you guys! You're the best!
