I don't understand their "not Jewish enough" thing that is dependent upon time. We are Jewish when our papers are signed and our ceremony is over. Do they really think people are going through the conversion process just to move to Israel? Like that makes zero sense. Ugh. I'm sorry you're dealing with this.

exactly! that’s what I said. I am Jewish, I qualify under the Law of Return. I think the reason for the 9 month requirement was originally for people from less economically strong countries converting for the purpose of moving to Israel for economic reasons. but a) I’m from the UK and b) I just went through a gruelling 2 year conversion process, I have already demonstrated my commitment to Judaism. that is the whole point of the conversion process
