#ackerman powers

I think most of them never had their powers awakened because they were never faced with a situation in which they had to rely on those abilities/never stumbled upon a suitable host in the first place. Regardless of whether what Eren said is true or not, it seems like they do have to go through specific triggers to obtain their Ackerpowers.

For example, Grandpa Ackerman didn’t seem to have awakened his powers. In Kenny and Levi’s case, they were both exposed to violence throughout their lives. In Mikasa’s case, she underwent a traumatic experience. If you look at her dad, he too didn’t seem to have had any powers. If he did, he should have been able to evade the attack because that’s just how overpowered the awakened Ackermans are shown to be.

Yeah, there’s bits of irony everywhere in the story. 

I think that, based on what Eren said to Mikasa, he technically hates all Ackermans as of now, since they are all subject to their biology. But this is assuming he actually meant every literal thing he said. I personally think his words had some truth to them, but they were highly exaggerated and structured to purposely hurt Armin and Mikasa.

As for the Attack Titan, I’ve always thought that, back during the Battle of Trost, the reason why Eren tried to kill Mikasa when he first transformed was due to either the Attack Titan’s or the royal family’s hatred for the Ackermans (Eren himself clearly wasn’t in control of his actions back then). I think it’s more likely to be the Attack Titan that detests them because the Ackermans were originally made to serve and protect the Founding Titan. However, since they did rebel against the royal family, it’s possible that the Coordinate is no longer fond of them.
