This song dates back to the summer of 2012 when I was just getting started on creating some serious (lol) “laptop music” using literally only my laptop’s QWERTY keyboard to input MIDI. I mean, Behind Backgrounds (Fragile Søul) was already out at this point but my interest in trying out new ideas was just so impossible to resist—thus the birth of Acito and other randomly-named, now discontinued side projects. I had been arranging MIDI stuff a few years prior but 2012 was notably a defining year for me as a budding self-produced artist. I learned as many music production techniques as I could that year and needless to say it was when my homegrown music-making methods made a lot more sense.
