Finished my semester! I ended up with a 100 on my music history final and doing really well on my violin jury. I’m still waiting on most of my grades though.
I also ended up applying to be camp counselor for my department’s camp and I got in! It’s only a week, but I’m super excited.
My conductor told me that he really needed me for the opera. I agreed to do it cause I've never played an opera before. Last concert I was playing first violin, so I was kinda disappointed to be playing second, but then last night I ended up being first chair and it was really exciting.
Guess who won a trip to a leadership conference in The Hague! 😀
So happy! 😀
I’ve finally started getting grades back (it’s only the middle of the semester, nbd).
In music history, I’ve been doing awesome on the quizzes. I even got over 100 on the last one because I knew all the bonus (yay Stravinsky!).
In my ethics class, I got a 92 on the test, which was awesome. I started making my own study guides and it really helps for that class. I even got one question right, even though I picked the wrong answer because I justified it, which made it correct.
Then there’s physics. Not my best subject. I did terrible on the open book calculations part (I failed), but I did really good on the closed book concepts part, and I’ve got a B- in the class. I’m happy with that.

I got a Bronze in the British Biology Olympiad!
This is really remarkable for me because I am meant to take it next year and wasn't nearly as prepared as I could have been but I did it and got the highest out of the four people that took it (and they were the year above me!) So happy and grateful 😭🙏🏾
