What are the chances it’s all in my head?
What are the odds that you should’ve stayed dead?
What are the chances I’m caught in a dream?
What are the odds you are watching me scream?
I suppose you’re looking to be entertained?
Perhaps you find joy in seeing me maimed?
Broken and twisted, malformed and abused,
What are the odds that will keep you amused?
Well then, far be it from me to stop a show!
Best make sure you aren’t too slow.
The tickets are sold, now come see me perform!
What are the chances you’ll enjoy a good storm?
Then sit back and enjoy, as I spin my tale!
Watch as I struggle, tied to the rails.
Are you having fun? Enjoying this pain?
Tell me, what are the odds you even remember my name?
A tale most foul, a poor tragedy,
Is this what you want from me?
I’m sure it’s a thrill to be watching me die,
Alas, what are the odds I’m telling a lie?
I hope you don’t expect me to play by your rules,
For I refuse to be another of your tools.
Know that you cannot silence my voice,
Shame I know the odds that I have a choice.
And so our curtains come to a close,
Personally, I feel you should have stuck with prose.
But if this is truly the best you could make,
I’ll have to go, I’ve got things to take.Â
(Another UT poem! This time I wanted to go for an AU (I wanna do way more AU poems too) and I’m starting with Chancetale, the AU made by @xxtha-blog. I love this AU, it’s aesthetic is brilliant and the writing, my god the writing! I could gush for hours. Here’s a poem about the proatgonist of the story, the 4th wall breaking magician of chance, Ace! (Personally, I think he didn’t like how I couldn’t get his fancy language at all...)Â
