Had a few comments and it's not like I needed encouragement to babble, I just didn't have the time yesterday but now I'm going to.
The notes here are for my non-binary Morstan-Holmes AU. For those who haven't heard about that one before it's an AU where Mary Morstan and Sherlock Holmes are one and the same person. A non-binary individual, trying their best to make a life for themselves in a time and place where there aren't the words or framework for them to make sense of themselves and where the gender binary were enforced even more aggressively than it is today, where it is bad enough.
The first page is a first draft of a timeline. I've pushed back Mary's year of birth from 1864 to 1855 so it matches better with Sherlock's. As a result the year of Arthur Morstan's disappearance have similarly been pushed back as I intend to keep Mary's age of 17/18 when he goes missing. @sullyvits hence why that year is "wrong" on this lineup.
I borrow from both Mary's and Sherlock's past and family stories, in so far as we know them because we know surprisingly little about either of them. There's a lot I don't have in place yet and I know that if I ever do get around to addressing The Sign of Four possibly the only part I'm keeping is Arthur Morstan's disappearing, because I need that part. I'm rereading it and man I had forgotten how Yikes! many parts of it is.
So if I do get around to doing that it'll entail uprooting the entire plot and redoing it. The names on page two is the first stab at that.
There are likely more years that'll get moved around before I have a story in written from I'm wiling to share with the public, like the year of Mary's mother's death and the year she get send to England.
