Wells liked building things.

Usually muscle.

Sometimes confidence.

Today, it was ramps.

He stood inside the Golden Stadium in a fitted gold training shirt, work gloves, safety boots, and shiny gold shorts, helping bolt the new accessibility ramps into place. No spotlight. No dramatic speech. Just measuring, lifting, drilling, tightening, and checking every angle twice.

Because strength did not mean much if it only opened doors for some people.

By noon, the ramps were set, smooth, solid, and ready. Wells wiped sweat from his forehead, looked across the stadium, and smiled.

“Gold means everyone gets in,” he said.

Then he picked up the drill again.

There was still more work to do.

Celebrating Independence

The morning sun shone over Golden Army Stadium as supporters arrived for another match.

Brock Gold #46 watched as one fan confidently made his way through the stadium using his mobility aid, stopping to greet volunteers before finding his own seat. Nearby, another supporter navigated independently with a white cane while others used accessible entrances designed for everyone.

No one rushed in to take over.

No one assumed they needed help.

The stadium had been built so every supporter could move through it with confidence and dignity.

Brock smiled as he looked around.

"Real inclusion isn't doing everything for someone," he said. "It's making sure everyone has the freedom to do it for themselves."

As the crowd rose for kickoff, every voice joined together.
