“Whoaa! Karen did you see that guy? Do you think that was the falcon? Ohmygod, did I just see the falcon?” Peter flipped through the air, releasing his web midswing to turn around and swing back toward the action. He had planned to follow Mr. Stark’s orders, stick to the little stuff, be a friendly neighborhood Spider Man, blah blah blah. How could he stay away from this, though? Spider Man crashing the Avengers’ fight? Instagram was going to freak out.Â
“Yes, Peter, that was Sam Wilson, aka, the Falcon. He is part of the Avengers Team.” Karen sounded like she was completely done with the teen, but he paid her no mind. If anything, Peter enjoyed her sassy side.
“That is so awesome,” Peter said for what must have the fiftieth time since getting close to the fight. “Karen, don’t tell Mr. Stark, but I’m gonna help out. Just with the, uh, little stuff. Catch a car flying toward civilians, maybe punch a robot pumpkin in the face, just small stuff.”
His spidey senses blared a warning just as one of said robot pumpkins exploded mid air while Peter swung past it, blowing him to the side and making him lose his grip on his web. With a laugh, he turned in the air, using the wave of energy from the explosion to make it to the nearest building and stick to the wall while he reoriented himself.Â
“Karen? Were you filming that?” He asked frantically. “PLEASE tell me you caught that on film.”
“I was filming, but it has been stored digitally. I do not currently have the ability to create film recordings. Shall I add it to your list of requested upgrades?”
“No! No, you know that’s not what I meant, Karen.” He shot a web out and pulled himself to the next building, using his momentum to swing onto the roof and survey the scene. “Keep rolling, though. I need some good updates for the gram!” His spidey sense blared again and Peter whipped around, just barely moving aside as Mjolnir streaked past him to return to Thor. Oh, yea, this was awesome.
“Here we go Karen! No matter what - keep filming!” He leapt from the building into the thick of the fight. “And don’t tell Mr. Stark!”
Karen didn’t bother pointing out that the Avengers would be able to see the teen’s bright red suit as soon as he entire the thick of things.
