The Adonis Pleco made an appearance the other day. This guy is rarely out in the open, usually he's on the underside of this piece of driftwood or down in his hiding spot.

Adonis Pleco, Acanthicus adonis L155
Today in adorable: It’s a TINY! While searching for crazy invasive sailfin plecos, I came across this clip. Every monster pleco starts somewhere, and this tiny is an adonis pleco, who were the Monster Pleco from a previous monster monday post.
Friendly reminder: this “tiny” grows up to be 3 FEET!
Monster Monday’s Monster Pleco: Acanthicus adonis. The adonis pleco is the BIGGEST pleco there is, clocking in at a whopping ~34"! (For perspective, one of the most popular monster fish, the red tail catfish is ~43".) The pictured adonis above is *probably* still growing.
