I am Strong. You are Strong. We are Strong. I’m thinking about each of you during this difficult time. There are many unknowns as we find ourselves in uncharted territories, and my thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of you. With your help we’ve been able to create an amazing community filled with passionate travelers. I want to express my gratitude for you and thank you for the trust you place in @acanelaexpeditions to create immersive and impactful experiences around the globe. I just returned home from abroad where I’ve seen firsthand how COVID-19 is affecting countries and local economies as its spread around the world. It is causing disruption to businesses and everyday life. Many countries rely on tourism as their main source of income (1 in every 10 jobs is in travel) so you can only imagine the impact this is having - especially in developing nations where people have nothing else to fall back on. As events continue to unfold, I know that traveling the near-term may not be top-of-mind for you and your loved ones, but as world citizens, we have the power to make a change. I want to encourage you to #AdventureAtHome and show the world your spirit of exploration, learning, and excitement is still alive. We want to see it, the world wants to see it, and you need it! This can look like cooking a meal from an exotic country, reading a book that takes you on a journey to a new place, discovering a new talent, redesigning your house, or exploring in your backyard - the possibilities are limitless...
