i can't put into words why i love this fic so much, but i think it, like so many good works of art, deals with the importance of acts of hope as a cure for your own heart. thank you @academicdisaster24 for giving us this story!

Fake Dating: C. I think I haven't read enough fake dating fics for me to get a sense of whether I truly like them or not, however, the concept intrigues me because I do like the idea of two people (especially opposites/enemies/frenemies!) being shoved into a situation where they're forced to cooperate with each other, and along the way they develop the feels and pining occurs, etc. So perhaps I need to read more of this trope!

Magical AUs: A. I love magic realism in fiction (and did a little of this myself in Heal Your Shrinking Soul, though it's more of a magic realism meets thriller/psychological mystery/fever dream/god knows what). I think @eyra does magic realism particularly well and has a gift for creating incredibly enchanting, creative and charming details that quite frankly never cease to take my breath away.

Accidental Bonding: A. I'm thinking particularly of Grounds for Divorce. What a fic. Beautiful. If I ever go back to writing outside of the AU space (which I'm kind of stuck in, at the moment, because it's cosy), I might return to the HP canon and write something that includes a spell gone wrong. It's a fun trope and again plays on the idea of people being stuck together and forced to cooperate, which can be very fun indeed.

i have found, in my life and through fics, that one of the primary concerns of my transness is to find and create joy - and looking at the world in delightful ways, like rooney's fics do, is a great aid to that.

The last thing I do before sleeping has to be either reading or listening to a podcast. So my eReader usually. Although sometimes this just makes me blow through my bedtime 😂

I don't! My brother has a lovely dog but I live in an apartment and usually I'm not home very much outside of the current *broad hand gestures* so it's probably not fair to a dog. I like cats too. I've never thought about it seriously because it makes looking for apartments harder, but one day!
