If you’re my friend, and you have a sec it would mean the world if you’d repost this. My mom brought Scully to me when I went through a bad breakup. She had been brought into the Aiken county animal rescue after being found on the side of the road with her “brother.” It’s assumed that her and this dog lived a pretty crazy life before a gentleman found them and kept them as his own. Unfortunately, Scully chases and killed his chickens and he had to surrender her. Scully had been at the shelter, shaking, crying, in the corner for two weeks, when my mom asked if she could take her home for a day. We had to walk her on a leash in and out of the house, move super slow, take kindness and gentility to the next level to gain her trust. Scully waits outside the door for me, she sits in my lap, she sleeps with me, and follows me everywhere, but I do t get to see her everyday bc she exhibits some aggression with strangers. Today she went after my 3 year old nephew. Now we’re faced with the consideration of putting her down. This dog is sweet, and some bad people abused her, and created this fear in her. I believe the right environment could help her rehabilitate. She needs a quiet home with an experienced owner who doesn’t have lots of company. She needs someone who has the time and effort needed to teach her trust. I had planned to take her when I bought my house, but with my parents going back to CT for the summer, and her not having the ability to be around kids, we don’t have the time@we thought. I believe the right person is out there, and I will move heaven and earth to find them. I will pay to ship her. Pay for food and shots for a year. Please help me save this sweet girl, who a shitty hand, and let’s see how big love can reshape even the most damaged heart. Please dm for info.
