A New York Times bestselling American Writer, George Saunders shared with us his notes for a speech he gave at Syracuse University, in which he shares how one of his biggest regrets sprang from something very small.

'Still, accomplishment is unreliable.  “Succeeding,” whatever that might mean to you, is hard, and the need to do so constantly renews itself (success is like a mountain that keeps growing ahead of you as you hike it), and there’s the very real danger that “succeeding” will take up your whole life, while the big questions go untended.'

We tend to overlook the most important things in life when trying to reach the top of the world. George has reminded us that the best things in life are free, and comes from our own selves.
