She came from a pretty poor family, even though they didnāt have much and surviving was hard at times. They made it through those hard times. But not completely unscathedĀ Ā
When she was of age her parents told Gamila that her birth mother was the goddess Hathor. She didnāt really believe them until she started showing signs of having powers (like superhuman abilities) Gamila wasnāt sure how she felt about being a daughter of Hathor, it was... confusing.
Gamila didnāt have an arranged marriage until late in life (look her parents wanted to make sure she got the best, and it might have been part of the deal they made with Hathor)
During the sangeet (a pre-party where both families come together) an evil creature attacked. Killing everyone there.
Gamila found out a little too late, that it was a vampire. That is when she found out she was turned into a vampire too. Gamila was pissed at the one that took everything for her. As a part of her wanted to get revenge.
Like most, she had a hard time dealing with her vampire side. The bloodlust was overwhelming sometimes. Yet she felt that must be a reason she was turned.
She decided to spend most of her time in the shadows watching the world pass her by.
She only drank blood when she truly needed it and only from willing participants
Dancing and music were one of the few ways she earned money. Other times sheād use her abilities so convince others to let her stay the night.
Gamila never had any children of her own.
PRESENT
She travels the world learning and teaching different types of dance. Most of the dances she knows and loves to perform are sattriya, belly dances, tango, samba, ballet, rumba, paso doble, and bollywood (basically all the dances I wish I could do)Ā Ā
Enjoys watching anything on dancing (like dancing with the stars, so you think you can dance)
She has been thinking about teaching a childrenās dance class, yet she isnāt sure she is ready for modern-day parents. Or maybe teach classes at the local college.
Isnāt looking to cause any trouble, though if trouble finds her sheāll protect herself (just let her dance and teach, okay)
As a dance instructor, she makes sure those that take any of her classes stay hydrated and arenāt dealing with any type of eating disorderĀ (she doesnāt want anyone to get hurt in her classes). She is willing to help anyone the suffers from body image issues. (the world has become a shitty place). Also, she doesnāt tolerate goofing off in her classes (some dances involve lifting your partner, and one small mistake can cost someone their dance career.)Ā Ā
