I'm taking over from Winter who started this blog - Winter and Rain are the same person, just different... perspectives? facets? points of view? I don't know how to put it. Anyway I'm still me, as in I have all my memories and everything, but at the same time I don't really feel like the same me, and I need to acknowledge that otherwise I feel I'm pretending to be Winter and it feels wrong. (Also, I'm not nearly as obsessed with Conclave as I was as Winter. Sorry.)

I have no idea how long I'm going to be around, but even if it doesn't last long it feels important to note that this happened. So.

I'm doing a Skulduggery Pleasant liveblog at the moment, we'll see how long I keep it up but it's happening here.

My username is inspired by lyrics from the song “Sisyphus” by Andrew Bird (“See my house down there but I lost it long ago”).

My blog title is something I think about a lot but in this specific case it is a line from Pet Shop Boys’ song “The Pop Kids” (on YouTube - flashing lights warning).

So I did hint earlier that there was something going on and I still don't really know what to make of it, but I've decided to go with it and see what happens, and the main thing is that I don't think I can still call myself Winter here when I don't feel like this is me anymore, so I'll go by Rain (they/them pronouns only please) for the time being and we'll see how it goes.

1. Why did you choose your url?

Well, Rain is my online name, and I write so... tada!

2. Any sideblogs? If you have them name them and why you have them?

Yes! This is my main blog but I also have a personal sideblog (random reblogs for funsies and interests and whatnot) and a music side blog that I am not so active on anymore. I do miss it sometimes. I made it when I was in high school and entering college as a music major.

3. How long have you’ve been on tumblr?

Since 2010, so about 11 years, now... which is still hard to believe sometimes.

Nah, I either hit reblog now or go radio silent later.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

I joined Tumblr back when I was a teenager. Initially I actually did join to genuinely blog and write about life, but obviously my experience of Tumblr and the intent behind my blogs has morphed over time with the growth of both my personal life and the platform itself.

6. Why did you choose your icon?

Because I love the Miraculous fandom and who doesn’t stan Marinette with her hair down?

7. Why did you choose your header?

It’s a photo of a sunset I took right before I left my last town. Honestly, I just thought it was lovely, so why not, right?

Definitely something from my music blog, and not this one!

Oh God, I don’t even know lol. Multiple times a day every day, but I don’t time myself when I just open the app here and there while at work.

14. Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Who won?

I think when I was a teen I tried to call somebody out for a personal story of theirs about an interaction manatee that sounded fake, based on how they’re protected in my state. But then they contacted me and I felt like a huge jerk (which I was) and I apologized because who am I to say what did or didn’t happen?

15. How do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

There’s no need to senselessly pressure those around you.

16. Do you like tag games?

Oh, I do! I can sometimes be genuinely terrible about following through with them but I love the friendship and fun behind them.

I like those, as well!

I genuinely have no idea. But whether or not someone is Tumblr famous doesn’t matter to me, so long as we’re nice to each other.

No, though I do have mutuals who are such wonderful, wonderful people and deserve all the love in the world!
