QUIRK ANALYSIS (CONT’D):

When using her quirk, her own body temperature also gets drastically lowered, and she can’t control the shape of the frost/ice formations (at least not yet. She’s only capable of creating thin sheets of ice for the time being. At least intentionally). The strength of her quirk also directly correlates with her emotional state (being: the stronger the emotion, the less control she has over her quirk, and the more likely she is to overextend herself). Her power stat is a bit misleading, because when out of control she can do a lot of damage. But those instances are usually far and few between.

RELATIONSHIPS (Dabi) CONT'D:

As it says in the graphic, her relationship with Dabi is... complicated. (dysfunctional at best, self destructive at worst). She ran into him one night on her walk back home from the store and caught him in the middle of burning someone to a crisp. He spared her life, but in exchange she's at his beck and call to help him cool off after meet ups that go south. Despite the hostility of their initial encounter, over time the two start to grow on each other, and while neither of them would jump to admit it (Dabi especially) they do care about each other deeply.

Fen’s quirk works by allowing her to extract the heat of whatever it is she’s touching, which often produces frost as a byproduct of the rapidly cooling surface temperature in relation to the air. Her fingers/hands act as conduits, allowing for the heat energy to transfer through her. As a side effect, while actively using her quirk those points of contact heat up/become hot to the touch, but only for however long she’s using her quirk for.

The heat she extracts travels through her body and gradually loses energy (due to her own internal temperature running fairly low) then gets released back into the air. However some of her own body heat also gets lost in the process, making her into something akin to a heat vacuum.

The rate at which she cools also affects the effects of her quirk, in that the more rapidly she cools something, the hotter her contact points become and the more body heat she loses, putting her at high risk for frostbite and hypothermia. The temperature discrepancy also just causes general (to severe) discomfort.

Her quirk isn’t as effective in drier environments, as lower moisture content means less frost generation.
