I used pre-release 10 and it's amazing! The old desktop is back and the start button is more of the 8 look mixed with the classic menu. I'm excited for it~
i’m using the full version now and i am absolutely 100% happy with it, some of the features are really clever (like the multiple desktop function 10/10), and it’s so much cleaner and intuitive and everything makes sense? it’s also fully customisable, like if the full screen start was your thing you can turn it back on, and basically everything you can fiddle with until it’s how you want it!
(i’m also happy to put up some screencaps if people wanna see what it looks like but it’s pretty much identical to the stuff on the microsoft website)
Continuous Career Confusion
So I don’t have much of an idea of what to do with the rest of my life. I know I don’t wanna work a big ass retail forever. Got an associates of science. Need to make a game plan for where I want to go to university. I’m leaning towards majoring in computers modeling (simulation). I worry though that I have no aptitude for computers though. Maybe I need to just take some courses at community college first?
I've been working on my new computer all day. There's still a lot of settings I need to copy over, like xkit stuff and passwords and art program brushes. But so far I have managed to fiddle around and test it out without too many issues.
This rig is a beast compared to my poor old laptop, though I'm not a big fan of the keyboard I picked out. I'm going to look into getting another one because the keys on this one are all the same size and the backspace key is surrounded by other keys of the same shape so more often than not I hit the =, ], or \ keys instead of backspace.
I haven't gotten a microphone connected yet either. I'll try to do that later.
In a bit I'm going to fiddle around with my streaming settings in preparation for a celebratory doodle stream later tonight. Probably around 5 or 6 pm est. Not gonna set that in stone because there's always a chance I'll be pulled away to help clean or something.
Anyway I'm super excited to finally have this thing running. Hopefully in the next month or so it'll be even more personalized with cool backgrounds and custom startup noises and all that jazz.
DID I MENTION I INSTALLED A SSD? THIS THING LITERALLY TAKES JUST A MINUTE TO BOOT UP. God, I love my big monster of a rig. ;u;

Another update on the new computer.
I took the tower case back to the store yesterday. Not only did they call to get a new one shipped to the store for me, but they also gave me a discount on my graphics card because it went down in price since I time I bought it. I'm really glad I took the case back now because I actually saved money.
Also my mom saw a 3D printer on discount and mentioned wanting to get one. The last time we were in the store I pointed out the one they had set up to show demo printings along with all the cool samples they had set up in a glass case. She wants one as much as I do. Hahaha.
