in my ideal world of course they'd have heat advisory sirens which would run whenever it got above 80. outdoor activities would be cancelled, reserve power plants would spin up to run ACs at a reasonable 60-65, great canvases miles up and hundreds of square miles in area would shroud entire cities in cool and comforting darkness. but in this world, the one i and presumably the weather service live in, im a little confused why im getting a notification every time an updated weather report says it'll be 90 for an extra hour in some pennsylvanian county 150 miles away
