 Alphas ( α )
Males generally larger than omegas and alpha females
Require a daily 5,000 calories or more to keep body system functioning correctly
Have a strong, musky scent

Hi, read your post on abo biology and it fascinates me. But I really want to know more about beta omega relationships. Can a beta mark an omega? Can they get pregnant with a betas baby? Is it harder for them to mark their partner? Things like that. Also if you could also explain some society things like how do people see a couple and things like that. Thanks!!
Oh harĂ´, anon. I don’t know which post in specific you are talking about, since a lot of my content is tagged under “abo biology”. But I’ll just assume you’re talking about the most recent one, about claim marks given to Omegas against their will. I apologize if it’s not the one. As for your question(s). Yes a Beta CAN mark an Omega. The difference lies in that Beta claim marks tend to be weaker chemically wise. They are less packed with proteins, which is also why Beta scents are a tad more meek. On the other hand Beta claim marks tend to last longer. I like to see it as a evolutionary trait. Betas needed a way to compete with an Alpha in the case they got a fertile Beta mate or an Omega. Alpha claim marks are much stronger, which would automatically outweight the Beta’s the moment it rubbed off. But if the Beta’s body adapted and sacrificed quantity for durability, that’d make their claim marks last much longer. Giving them time to either “deafeat” the Alpha competition (if possible) while keeping their mate claimed, or move away to a safer area with a mate that is both unwilling to mate with another person other than the Beta and that will be having their scent being much less appealing to other Alphas due to the claim mark. It’s less powerful, but not necessarily less affective. And yes, Omegas can have a Beta’s babies. An Omega female will have less trouble doing it so than a male one. The probability of a pregnancy with an Alpha x Omega couple is insanely high given that they have the equivalent of fertility on steroids running through their veins 24/7; A Beta x Beta couple will have a more normal fertility rate, very similar to regular humans. Thus even if the Beta male is not engineered to be a baby-making machine, like an Alpha, the Omega female’s organism makes up for it, and their rate of fertility will be the same as a Beta x Beta couple. Omega males on the other hand will have a harder time trying to get pregnant from a Beta male. Omega males are already less fertile than Omega females, so they already carry a “liability” when it comes to that. But probability aside, there’s nothing that would “prevent” an Omega from being pregnant with a Beta male’s baby. The only thing they cannot have is an Alpha baby. See why here.Â
As to how people in society see it. I think it depends. By and large most people are okay with Omega x Beta male couples. Some traditionalist groups/religions might have a problem with it, but these are just radical exceptions. It is more common to see people being a little “weirded out” with Omega x Beta female couples. Ofc, this too is just individual people with specific points of view. It usually doesn’t end in anything drastic or tragic. Just some weird looks and perhaps some unkind and unthoughtful commentary. Prejudice is not exactly non existent, but all and any couples are legally recognized by the law as completly valid in all senses of the word (at least in my verse, that is).Â

I assume you are asking about combinations like oA, BA, and oB. To which I say: They are not possible. At least in my verse, that is. Let me explain.I am, of course, aware that most of our phenotypical characteristics are decided by the fact that each allele has two kinds/copies of itself (Granted why two blue eyed parents can have a green eyed child and vice-versa) But in my verse I decided I didn’t want anything complicated like that. I decided that there is no “third” option when it comes to how dyncamics are decided. Nor in a genetical OR phenotypical aspect.  It is as simple as it sounds: A > B > o. Thus if the combination is “Ao” or “oA”, it does not matter. The A is still dominant, making it the only one that will be active when deciding upon a child’s dynamic. Thus, indepent of the “order” of alleles, the child will still be considered “Ao” nonetheless. Making them an Alpha and only an Alpha. You can take a look on my “Genotypes and reproductive differences in ABO” post right here, for a better visual representation of what I mean.I hope this clarifies my personal view on the matter ^^. Wait, let me try to understand what youmeant. Hum, If you’re asking if two Alphas can actively make a childof their own, this one being an Omega, than the answer is no. Alphas don’t havewombs, regardless of their gender. Now if you’re asking if they can raise anOmega child, of course they can, I don’t see why not. As for an Alpha and a “normal person”, Idk if you’reasking about someone that is neither an Alpha, Beta or Omega or if you mean aBeta or an Omega as being the “normal people”. In the case of the latter thanI’d have to say yes, if they have an Ao allele combination (and the Beta too hasa Bo combination) and no, if they have an AB combination. As for a person who has no dynamicsit depends on whether you want their genes to be recessive or dominant in faceof those who have one, and that depends on your AU.

Out of curiousity (I love genetics) what happens if you get a YY combination from an alpha or beta male mating with an omega male?
Well, YY is not a very feasible combination by any means. The Egg of an Omega Male would promptly reject a Y sperm cell if it happened to be also a Y one, thus only open way to a X one. If by any reason the egg is unable to stop the passage of said Y cell one of two things can happen:
- A miscarriage. Seeing as the fetus would not have the correct combination it would develop in such a way that it’s not expected from the body. The Mother’s body will start perceiving the fetus as a threat or parasite and proceed to eliminate it in order to protect the mother. Thus their own immunological system acts as the catalyst for their malformed fetus’ early death.
- If the immunological system fails to promptly eliminate the fetus and he comes to be born, it will either be born dead or die shortly after. A fetus with a YY combination will not and cannot develop properly and will have a series of malformed processes that will unable it to have both the mental and physical strength to survive on it’s own.
These cases are very rare obviously and most of them don’t happen and when happen will end in a miscarriage almost 100% of the times.
Which do you think is more likely to produce an alpha offspring an alpha and omega or an alpha and bate? Also If the omega or bate were to have more then one pup, how meny of the pups are likely to be an alphas? (This is based of your genotypes & reproductive differences headcanon, were you said only alphas can make other alphas. I know your headcanons aren't the only way to go, but I want to know your thoughts on this :3)-UA
Since the “A” allele is dominant agaisnt both “B” and “o” alleles a Beta is just as likely to have an Alpha offspring as an Omega, since the probability will be always 50%. Altought there is a popular belief that Omegas are more certain to give you Alpha pups than Betas (which is one of the many reasons that throughout History Omegas had been chosen over Betas to be courted(?) by Alphas), but mathematically speaking doesn’t change a thing.Â
The difference just comes to be something tangible when it comes to the more recessive alleles. An Alpha is way more likely to make another Omega with an Omega mate than a Beta since most Alphas are offspirngs of other Alpha x Omega couples. So there are way more Aphas with an “Ao” combination rather than “AB”.Â
As for the pups, Omega Females are known to have a high rating of twins. Which is what gives them their fame of being more fertile than Betas and Omega Males (along with the fact that the percentage of risk-pregnancies in Omega females is lower than their male counterparts). The probability of both pups having different dynamics (and genders) is higher than the other way around. Fraternal twins are way more likely to happen than identical ones. Ofc they do happen, Fraternal or Identical there is still a possibility of them both being same dynamics. Fraternal possibilities -Â
- May have the same dynamics and same gender. (but it’s unlikely)
- May have the same dynamics but different genders. (but it’s unlikely)
- May have different Dynamics but the same gender.
- May have different Dynamics and different genders.
Identical Possibilities -Â
- Will have the same gender AND Dynamics.
So really there isn’t much “facts” here, it’s all just probability. I think that most twins would end up having different outcomes, and like 45% or so of all the twins would end up having the same dynamics. Hope that was a satisfactory enough answer.
