It's almost certainly because actual homestuck is on a hiatus though. Once you guys go back to getting real updates, it'll probably calm down!

Well, a couple of people pointed out in other asks that the Denizens are tied to people's roles in the game, which is not at all what I would have expected. I would have thought that the Denizens would be unique, like the lands (presuming the lands ARE unique in the end.) Since the lands are so unique to the players, I thought the Denizens would be things that specifically were challenging to them, too.

And if anyone was going to have difficulty (in a couple of ways) dealing with what is likely a whale type beast of hellish proportion and behavior, I would have thought it would be Gamzee.

Or Eridan if they wanted to make the Ahab joke again, but he already killed his whale.

YES, GOOD. Nepeta and Feferi were the two trolls who, to me at least, got screwed out of really being solid characters. We hardly got to know them. It's not their fault they're kind of at the bottom of my list of trolls I like. Not that I don't like them, I do. I just like them LESS, because we hardly got to know them!

Thankfully I VERY rarely get migraines. I would honestly still blame my colour sensitivity on light sensitivity. It's just how light reacts with certain colours, etc. I could have turned the screen entirely black and white without too much trouble, but f.lux dimming the lighting and lowering the contrast helped a lot (and I would miss colour too much, not going to lie)

...except when I tried to redline something for another artist. I went to floodill a colour layer over her art with white (for those not artistically inclined: this would make her image appear greyscale in a conveniently controlled way, so my drawing over the top would be more visible.) Instead I filled it with blinding aqua because I wasn't paying attention. I'm pretty sure the second half of my migraine was there ENTIRELY because of that one moment on accidentally converting her entire image into a nightmarish concoction of overly saturated eye searing blues. Herp, a derp. I was reading on the very, very tail end of of it, though, so I wasn't expecting Davesprite's orange to be bright enough to really bother me.

It is something that has ALWAYS baffled me, but I've been told for years by friends that they found me really intimidating at times because I can be super blunt. (LAUGHS a friend - Lucy - told me that she thought I would probably make her cry if I was ever mad at her. I DONT MAKE PEOPLE CRY, LUCY WHY WOULD YOU FEEL THAT WAY??) And it's even worse on the internet, because the lack of tone in text, so I definitely struggle sometimes with the natural inclination to just tell someone to cut something out and also making sure I'm not accidentally seeming super aggressive for it. Especially since I don't know why that is threatening in the first place. I don't see a problem with telling someone that you have a problem with something! But not everyone is used to that, I get that.

This is probably why I like places like SA so much, haha.

yyyy...yes. Those are antlers. I had to check the image to see what it was when I read this.

Something that drives corgi bananas is that I don't bother with the tumblr avatar/changing the default layout very much. It took me like a year on my personal blog, and I didn't bother with an icon over here until I was into act three or four? I probably still wouldn't have an icon except I drew a little not-a-comic about something, and corgi was like YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR FACE YOUR FACE. So it's actually just cropped from something bigger, it wasn't ever meant to be an icon.

You get artist friends and you're all learning to draw together, and suddenly everyone but you is going through this phase where they are drawing themselves as animals (because most of us didn't know how to draw people yet, probably) and because you're friends, they want to draw you, too! Except you can't really picture yourself as an animal and then one day you apparently sprout antlers and that's you on the internet forever.

Antlers are really pretty so I'm not complaining.

Apparently chopsticks in hair is a Thing? I have no idea. It's not so much that a lot of people told me the same thing - it's that a lot of people completely disregarded that it was something I would learn on the next page. I don't want that to become a trend! I'm ASSUMING it happened because people are particularly bored during the hiatus.
