i know i talk a lot about what i love in dwj's work, but here's something i've been thinking about recently--

As many ideas as I can type in two minutes and maybe one will spark joy

- undercover at a circus and hijinks ensue on the trapeze

- vampire werewolf witch AU (Jo is not the witch)

- two gossiping and having snacks while the third repairs a broken space engine and shoots death glares

- together as force ghosts in the after life watching the chaotic order 66 padawans like a soap opera (not now, my stories are on.)

- modern day AU at the college coffee shop / laundromat : weird guy out back selling weed

- hard boiled noir space detectives AU

- mimosa on the beach 🏖️

- Calvin and Hobbes style art 🖼️

- running away from a carnivorous gelatinous cube

- daemon AU …. Everyone needs an animal sidekick

2. do you have a collection of anything?

i have a few collections! i collect:

film cameras

fountain pens

tori amos CDs found in the bargain bins of used music stores from different cities

the last one is the only thing i intentionally collect haha, i like to hit up used book and music stores whenever i go somewhere new and see what kind of stuff they have; i tripped over "under the pink" in a giant bin of $1 CDs while on vacation several years ago and it's become a game for me to try and find something wherever i go. as for the others...i've been lucky and gifted a bunch of cameras over the years, and i also really like buying random toy cameras and seeing how their photos come out. i also just really love fountain pens and can't stop myself from buying a cute pen when i see one ;_; (i should also swear off buying them until i get rid of some lmao. i am too weak)

25. would you rather own a dishwasher or a laundry machine if you could only have one or the other?

i'd rather own a laundry machine for sure!!! i actually enjoy doing dishes but laundry is another story. i also have lived without a dishwasher before so i know it's manageable; idk about a laundry machine.

27. what's your favourite household chore?

I struggled for ages to think of a single outfit Emily wears and couldn't remember one 😅 So favourite line it is!

4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

I wish I'd had time to pet the MSPCA kitties today. That would have been nice.

8. favorite month of the year and why?

October! Not too hot, not too cold, not too dark, and it's got my anniversary on the 1st and Halloween on the 31st.

20. what do you wish someone would ask you?

What I'm doing tomorrow.

i am intrigued by all the WIPs. Ian helping with Franny's arrival sounds adorable (and stressful)

So this one is a very silly idea for a short fic that is basically just a retelling of Gideon the Ninth in the style of the kid's book Funnybones. So alas, no Noodle.

The idea came from my eldest kid, when he was 3/4 finding my copy of Gideon the Ninth on the shelf and asking if "it's like Funnybones for grown ups?" I was so charmed by this notion I wrote the following:

This is how the story begins. In a dark dark system, there was a dark dark planet. On the dark dark planet was a dark dark city. In the dark dark city was a dark dark barracks. In the dark dark barracks there was a dark dark staircase. Down the dark dark staircase there was a dark dark room. In the dark dark room, some skeletons lived. There was a necromancer skeleton, a cavalier skeleton, and a metaphorical skeleton in the closet. One night, the cavalier skeleton sat up in bed. She scratched her not-yet-painted skull-face. "What shall we do tonight?" she said. The necromancer skeleton said "Let's take the shuttle for a ride to the first house. And frighten somebody!" "Terrible idea!" said the cavalier skeleton. But she agreed to it anyway, because reasons.

oh mannnn i've actually never watched bake-off, my experience with cooking shows is cutthroat kitchen, some chopped, and halloween wars, so we're gonna do what we can lol. let's say they're on halloween wars because they do teams of three on those and the disaster lineage is perfect for that--this is a canon au where spalloween (space halloween) exists and the three of them get on the show...somehow lol

a) anakin is the pumpkin carver, ahsoka is the cake baker, and obi-wan is the sugar sculptor, and they spend as much time arguing with each other about the design of their projects

b) anakin likes to get theeeeeeee biggest pumpkins and obi-wan is all "WE DON'T NEED THEM IN THAT SIZE" but anakin insists that they do

c) ahsoka's cakes are fabulous, full stop

d) anakin and obi-wan won't stop bickering whatsoever but they're doing better when they argue than when they're getting along, lol
