Abercorris Slate Mine
Today i went to Abercorris slate mine.
As usual i’d gone off without checking the specific location of the entrance and now i had no signal so couldn’t.
Saw this house which had loads of miniature buildings made out of cement all over the place. Totally unexpected and pretty cool.
Further up the track i saw this little hut and thought i must be getting close.
Then i discovered a whole little village of slate houses. Must be where the miners lived.
There was a stream running through the village and i followed it up a steep hill. There seemed to be some kind of old track along side it.
Near the top there was this little hut. Looked like a bus stop.
Beyond this there was a huge crater. I reckon if the entrance was gonna be anywhere, it’s in there. Would need ropes to reach it though.
