i don't understand people who romanticize hades/persephone hades abducted a young persephone and forced her to marry him and tricked her into staying with him that's just messed up and people try justifying it by saying things like "don't use contemporary standards" and "but she grew to love him" and "it's all allegorical" and "it's about a man 'sexually freeing' a girl from her 'strict' mother" but none of that makes it any better?? she was still kidnapped and manipulated??
