I find it so interesting sweet that the thing that plagues Geralt's mind when he's worrying Jaskier won't recover from the Djinn attack is the fact that the last thing he said to him was something a lil mean. Because it wasn't a huge insult, was it? It was more a playful back and forth between the two which is doubtless commonplace, and Geralt's regret just solidifies the fact he didn't really mean it, he was just being snarky and short because he was tired. He's not only worried that Jaskier is hurt, but also that he hurt him (before he realises they're his wishes) and he is scared that, if he dies before he can explain himself, he will lose Jaskier emotionally as well as physically.
ok luca. I’m gonna be obsessed. it’s been so so so long since I’ve watched something that so fully and wholly revitalized my inner child and reignited my love for cartoons like,,, I cannot describe how wonderful that experience is and I’ve already bought the art book and aaAAAAAAH I CRIED A TON.
it’s ridiculous how much this movie was tailored to me as a person. the whole vibe and tone was SO incredibly close to what I want from my cartoon, and the way they handled conflict and foreshadowing was exactly. like EXACTLY how I want to do mine. also the whole beachside city is incredibly similar to a place I already had in mind for one of my stories, and the blue transformation stuff??? YEAH THAT TOO
also I’m usually not into monster stuff and it’s been a long, long time since I’ve genuinely really freaking yearned for magical Creacher transforming but here we are. I wanna be a freakin sea monster so bad. that takes a very special type of monster and luca got it SPOT ON.
and fanart???? the designs are SO FUN with SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!!!! and the tails make floaty blue people so interesting to pose! it’s like they come w a line of motion emphasis! (also i already loved drawing floaty motion stuff. blue ones, specifically. just lookit my ghost oc). anddd the sea monster aesthetic was already the only monster I was gonna be obsessed with anyway. I grew up loving the loch ness monster w my whole heart so,,,
also the FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THESE TWO SPECIAL BOYS. THEIR VOICE ACTING, THEIR PURE LOVE FOR EACH OTHER,,, AND THEY ACTUALLY ACTED AND DREAMED LIKE KIDS,,, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH YEAH THAT WHOLE THING JUST. THEM. MY TWO SPECIAL BOYS AND THE SOFT FATHER FIGURE AND THE WEIRD SPUNKY GIULIA I LOVED IT ALL
and the MUSIC. It was so pure and lovely and sweet!!!! I haven’t been able to find the song they played during the friendship compilation but I LOVE THAT AND I WILL FIND IT.
one last thing. “you got me off the island, luca. I’m okay.” HURT ME SO BAD. getting someone out of a really bad place and beginning to heal is SO POWERFUL,, especially when said character hides their bad situation really well,,,,, gosh it hurt me so bad. I cannot describe.
