We still weren't pursuing each other because Chris was seriously dating another girl and I honestly thought it was over between us. I was home for the summer from school working at Nordstrom. One day at work I spotted Chris and his girlfriend at the time coming up the escalator at work. Once again my heart dropped, it was sooooo good to see him again! My feelings for him were still very much there. We'd talk here and there, I got into a two serious relationships...but I still had this what if feeling about Chris! We didn't speak often but when we did we spoke a lot and picked up right where we left off! One day we spoke and Chris told me he was single again! There was absolutely no way I was letting him go again without addressing that what if feeling! He was still healing and I was still dealing with people so we still didn't pursue each other. We supported each other through the years here and there. He came to my open mic performances and I went to few of his. He'd drop hints here and there that he was feeling me so one night I texted him and asked "Would you ever kiss me again?" and Chris was like "Absolutely!" That conversation made it clear to me that our feelings for each other were mutual! So a few weeks later after dwelling on our conversation, I spoke to my cousin about it. She told me her love story and how she pursued her man and let him know what it was. Some liquid courage and my feelings running high later, I went home and sent Christopher this longgggggg ass love letter! I took a big ass leap of faith and just put it allllllll out there!
