who: anyone! ( @aurorabaystarter ) — 5/5 CLOSED where: outside aurora bay hospital, friday afternoon
"Be so for real with me, how fucked do I look right now? I'm twelve hours in, running on nothing but a Big Gulp Dr Pepper and a half a packet of Twizzlers I found rattling around in my purse. I feel like patient zero for the walking dead."
@caleb-majhi — on the side of the road
Romina thought she would die. It was the first time that she'd dreamt of Christmas in New-York, wet feet, and frozen fingertips. She'd probably do just about anything to have that cold breeze about now, especially since she was stuck on the side of the road without any shade. She'd tried to stay inside the cab, laid on the grassy side of the road, even considered going into the woods for some reprieve from the heat.
If she wasn't fearful that the tow truck wouldn't just drive past once he didn't see anyone, she may have went in search for some body of water. She'd been seated on the side of the road, close enough that she could extend herself and peak at the oncoming cars. When she saw the tow truck, she jumped up and began to wave her arms frantically. "Tell me you've got air conditioning."
OPEN STARTER @aurorabaystarter sunday morning of the black out (5/7) + cap does not apply to new muns location: utp
“I have had to ask way too many people to put out their fire pits,” Camryn groans with her fingers pinching the bridge of her nose to ward off a stress headache. “Seriously, during a heat wave in California, you’d think it would be common sense to avoid a fire risk. But I had to be the stick in the mud.”
starter for: open where: Aquatica Aquarium (Aurora Bay Aquarium) Since her own apartment is basically an oven right now, Amara is camping out at work with whichever random townspeople happen to be staying--or at least hanging out for the evening to stay cool, since the aquarium is one of the few places in town with full power and AC. A decent number of locals are camped out on the floor in the main area of the aquarium, with a beautiful view of one of the massive tanks nearby, with floor-to-ceiling visibility of the fish and other aquatic animals inside. "You know, I think this kind of tops both the weirdest sleepover ever list, and the coolest, somehow?"

open - @aurorabaystarter
where - crystal cove's pool, late friday night
"Okay, no I don't live here or even know anyone who does, but if you don't rat me out to security, I'll.....be in your debt? And share my bottle of Jack?"
CLOSED STARTER for @jordanmitchell
All Paxton can about himself is that his survival instinct must be lacking because before he knows it, he is sitting passenger in a stranger’s car off to some secondary location. He’s tense, sitting stiff as a board and watching ahead, and his feeling of self consciousness from being bluntly told he needed to take a shower (and said stranger is bringing him to do just that) is quickly being replaced with curiosity.
( Who will they cast to play him in his murder documentary? )
“Uh,” he finally pipes up, the steadiness of his voice completely absent. “So, where are we going exactly?”
Pax slowly shifts his eyes to Jordan, and she doesn’t look homicidal. “I know’ to a shower’, but where is this shower, because you’re really taking me off the beaten path, and I know cell signals are really off right now, so you could leave my body in a ditch no problem.”
CLOSED STARTER for @edenxoconnell saturday evening of the black out at seascape
Robbie doesn't knock, though he thinks after he pushes the door open, and he announces his rival with a succinct, "Party was, eh- it wasn't worth sweating my balls off, that's for sure."
The air conditioning of the hotel did little to lessen the way sweat dampened the neckline of his shirt, or the curls along his hairline. He is nowhere near as drenched as he was earlier, but evidence that the heatwave is still going strong even into the night is there plain as day.
"Get up to anything fun?" Robbie asks, practically face planting on his bed closest to the window. "Or did you just sit in here all afternoon?"
