Hi anon!! 👋🏻 Thank you for that! I do love to yap in the tags, it’s my place to vent lol

I started watching Emmerdale thanks to @e20minutemart - she watched EastEnders years ago and wanted to give it another go for the 40th anniversary, now that we have access to be able to watch it the day it airs. So we started watching that in February and have been since.

She had heard things about Emmerdale and specifically about Robert coming back and what a big deal it was bc Robron was such a major ship and it’d been so long since Ryan had been there and all…

So she was curious and wanted to watch some Robron clips to see what it was all about and I can fully admit that by this time I had become a massive Ballum stan and was very snobby about my ships. I wasn’t sold about Robron at first! I was judgy! But thankfully she was like no, we’re gonna watch this show and see what we think. So we started with Robert’s first episode back and went from there…and I was sold almost right away lol. I dropped that snobbery real quick! Trust me, I’m ashamed to admit that I was so hesitant at first - always be willing to give something a try, y’all! You may end up falling in love with it. 🥰

My favorite Aaron/Jackson scene was when they went to Whitby with Hazel and Aaron surprised Jackson with getting to go skydiving. The scene where they were explaining the whole process and Aaron and Hazel kept asking questions, Aaron was covering up how scared he was by being a smartass, Jackson noticed how scared he was and said he wouldn’t put him through being that scared again, but he sure as heck was still gonna do the skydive himself , and he did! And it was beautiful.

My favorite Robron scene is absolutely the 2018 reunion, bc the 2017/18 breakup absolutely killed me, like properly devastated me, like I understood why they broke up but I was so sad for Robert bc the man could not function properly without Aaron. And Aaron was acting like he could without Robert but he really was just treading water without him. The girls night Robert went on when they just wanted to find him someone to spend time with, but he didn’t want anyone but Aaron. Their talk in the garage after Robert couldn’t bring himself to go be with another man because he knew what he wanted, the thought that they wouldn’t get back together bc Robert was so scared of losing Aaron again, the fucking tears 😭 When they went their separate ways and then Aaron shows up at Vic’s and gives the most beautiful love declaration, is so desperate to have Robert back, the dig at Robert’s dance skills, the pleading, more tears bc Danny does it best, them walking off together to start their life again…ugh it’s so beautiful. I watch it whenever I need to feel something lol.
