Mr. Shay organizes his show with makeshift cardboard titles acting as his “Set List.” His banter in-between tunes is great, allowing the audience to respond, engage, and connect—his overarching goal for being a performer, bringing the communal experience of music to audiences. The songs and dialogue are filled with laughter and heartfelt quips about the nation’s current social climate, a topic needing a nice release of laughter in this musical environment.
