âYou're much sweeter than me by far
You're much stronger than me
You know you are
Whether you see Summer, Winter or Fall
When I look at you I see them allÂ
You'll never know dear how much you breathe
Strength and courage into me
And as the day comes closer to an end
I find no reason to pretend
On a day much quieter than this
I will hold your hand and kiss your face
I think it's imperative you know that I am
Not about to
Not about to let it goâ

An Obiyuki Winter Challenge 2022 Playlist (by @snowwhite-andtheknight)
Took a while to figure out a plan for this three-day winter challenge, but then I took the songs I compiled after Obiyuki Week (including Matt Pond songs I completely forgot to put in previous playlists) and arranged them into lyric mash-ups of the three themes:
Endings- Aaron Sprinkle
Beginnings- Matt Pond PA
Second Chances- Death Cab/MUNA
The playlist title is from my all time favorite scene where they are talking around the bonfire in Lilias, reminiscing about their work and thinking about their future together.
Starting- Matt Pond PA
A Second Lasts A Second- Matt Pond PA
Youâre Heart is an Empty Room- Death Cab for Cutie
I Know A Place- MUNA
Not About To-Â Aaron Sprinkle
No Reason To Pretend- Aaron Sprinkle
Sweeter Than Me- Aaron Sprinkle

A Zenyuki Valentineâs Playlist (for Weeks 1 and 2 by @zenyuki-festival-2021â)
I tried a lot of different strategies for this monthâs playlists⊠eventually rediscovering Daveâs Midnight Television and old Mae stuff after his latest livestream so the one long playlist became three smaller playlists (with a classic long Mae song at the end of each). (The three playlists also ended up being chronological again: from beginnings to present time together to reminiscing.)  This one focuses on the themes for Weeks 1 and 2, mostly words of affirmation through confessions of love as analogies and acts of service through chivalry.
Begin Again (Taylorâs Version)- Taylor Swift
Something So Sweet- Midnight Television (from Dave Elkins of Mae)
State of Grace (Taylorâs Version)- Taylor Swift
Sense You Make- Steff and the Articles
Really Something- Aaron Sprinkle
Bloom- Mae
A Zenyuki Valentine's 2022 Playlist (Weeks 1 and 2)
Summary lyrics are cited after the cut (and I may post a few separate lyric mash-up posts for each playlist):
Something So Sweet- Midnight Television (from Dave Elkins of Mae)
Iâve been buzzing on your love
Just like a honeybee
I donât know how you do it
Something so sweet now Iâm used to it
Youâre my garden in the park
Every flower a beautiful remark
So much color all the day longÂ
State of Grace (Taylorâs Version)- Taylor Swift
And I never saw you coming
And I'll never be the same
You come around and the armor falls
Pierce the room like a cannonball
Now all we know is donât let go
Mosaic broken hearts
But this love is brave and wild
This is a state of grace
This is the worthwhile fight
These are the hands of fate
Sense You Make- Steff and the Articles
How much sense you make to me
Like the wind blew you so perfectly
Like you have the only key
You fell into the song that I was singing all the time
Really Something- Aaron Sprinkle
Some days I actually forget
That this is really something
One smile from you and that is it
Bloom- Mae
Riding on my wave these sails are open
I've been rolling on a wind that's never been mine
And all that night I'm floating
With the other ships
I remember when we came together we were just a beacon for the lonely
Yeah, when I've lost my way I walked around it
Yeah, but the bloom of hope it keeps repairing
We watched the sun set fire to the sky that day
We warmed up to so many things we never could have made
And it comes to this
I'll search for you and find you
These questions are just answers on the other side of clarity
Oh, hearts may break to make more room
Yeah, but love will find a way to bloom
âWould you take a walk with me?
I'll give you all I've got, just spare me your time
And I promise you won't want to leave
I know these roots could break the ground
And in the meantime, our leaves will turn
But rest assured, we'll get through anything
And these have been the kindest days
That I've known since I met youâ
-Just Let Go, Mae and The Kindest Days, Aaron Sprinkle (for Week 4: Quality Time by @zenyuki-festival-2021âââ)
A Zenyuki Valentineâs Playlist (for Weeks 3 and 4 by @zenyuki-festival-2021)
This playlist focuses on the themes for Weeks 3 and 4, mostly about spending quality time together (including a museum date!) and receiving physical or abstract gifts like pictures, songs, and photos. (If I remember correctly, love over time was the original prompt Dave used for the Midnight Television album, so those songs fit well here too!)
Just Let Go- Mae
Museum- Kitsch Club (Louie Zong and Quinne Larsen)
Time Flies- Midnight Television (from Dave Elkins of Mae)
The Kindest Days- Aaron Sprinkle
192 Days- Eisley
Stay for a Lifetime- Midnight Television (from Dave Elkins of Mae)
Our Love is a Painted Picture- Mae
A Zenyuki Valentineâs Playlist (for Weeks 3 and 4)
Summary lyrics are cited after the cut:
Just Let Go- Mae
We've got all night just to make it all right
Would you take a walk with me?
I'll give you all I've got, just spare me your time
And I promise you won't want to leave
There's an old oak tree
We can swing and sway
Throw our guards away
I'll take you out of harm's way
And like these branches that shelter the rain
We can lay here in our own shade
I know these roots could break the ground
And in the meantime, our leaves will turn
But rest assured, we'll get through anything
Museum- Kitsch Club
I wanna take you to a museum
All the things inside, we're gonna see 'em
I wanna take you to a museum
Learning lots of facts
Eating lots of snacks
In a museum
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna read a plaque
I wanna look at stuff we don't understand
Time Flies- Midnight Television (from Dave Elkins of Mae)
It feels just like forever I canât remember when
You werenât part of my story
I won't go back there again
I see that when time flies
My life full of your love
I still canât get enough
So do all of your business
And make all of your plans
Iâll be here waiting for you
Iâll do anything I can
In the moment where we wanna be
Itâs right here waiting
The Kindest Days- Aaron Sprinkle
You've been holding me like a bird
In your heart and you've kept it guarded
You right in front of me
Now I can clearly see
You standing next to me
My loneliness has finally found an ending
And these have been the kindest days
That I've known since I met you
192 Days- Eisley
I've spent over one hundred and ninety two days loving you
And honestly it feels no more than a day or three
So it's for you hon
I write this song and make it old fashioned
You look so fair in the loving moonlight
I'll stand beside you, take a photograph
Preserve the memory of you and me and our love
Darling child, you are my honey bee
Don't you fly away from me
Stay right here, I've been stung by you
And I'll battle through any sticky sap
Or corner we're pushed into
For I know our love is truer
Than the blue feathers of the blue birds above
Stay for a Lifetime- Midnight Television (from Dave Elkins of Mae)
Time and again
Whenever I choose
Thereâs no choice at all
There is only you
I can only give âtil you take me
I will learn to play with this fire
Iâll be here to stay for a lifetime
You donât have to say
Another word
The things that you need
Iâll keep them coming
Our Love is a Painted Picture- Mae
Our love is a painted picture Iâve been working on for years
But every single one, when I think itâs done
The impression disappears
And if a month is a day in the life thatâs waiting for an open gate
It occurred to me insecurities are mounting up and making fate
But then again I see
Beginnings of the map for me
Yeah, it can seem like there are too many answers
And it can feel like thereâs just pain
All at once to find
There was never any rain
