After a lifetime of extensive travel in the states, hopping freight trains and sleeping in the wild, Aaron Dactyl, author of Railroad Semantics, felt world weary and jaded. When a family member is stationed at the United States Embassy in Colombo for a year, the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to a foreign country presented itself and Aaron embarked on his first trip outside the United States.
