Last post reminded me that I'm always really surprised when people like, hate Sholmes, or actually feel any anger towards him. Not that I think you're not allowed to or whatever, it's just So not my experience of the guy that I'm fascinated whenever I see it in action.

I do miss when I was more mainline-(specifically Trilogy)pilled, unfortunately I've emotionally put like... way too many stakes than should be normal for a hobby interest in my investment in DGS and it's given me weird complexes about it

Post that just emerged from my queue about the tension between Kazuma's faith/cynicism really articulates what I found so interesting about the contrast between the ways in which he's progressive, ostensibly a believer in a better future forged by a new generation, and how he still clings to the past through his grief, the "soul" he carries tracing back to generations of tradition. Also Una's post on this same topic. In the top 3 most compelling things about the guy to me is that tension between the principles he holds and wants to live by and his more powerful emotional needs that he keeps succumbing to.

One of the other reasons I had such a hard time getting into Fradrian is because I want Franziska to sub. Do you see my problem.

Funniest part of my TGAA interest is that VZ is in my list of favourite characters but like, 6th or 7th place in the top 10, but he would've likely been my favourite by default if Kazuma hadn't gotten me at the eleventh hour. Which is because he (VZ) pissed me off so bad that I just couldn't help having opinions about him.
