I think that makes perfect sense. If you don’t feel that you have a deep connection with a character, they’re hard to write, and never seem to some out as you intended.
gah and at this point, i'm trying to understand what it is about myself and writing that requires me to feel like I could be a character before I feel able to write them.. I feel like that shouldn't matter as much? But it does.
I mean if I were to write a book, like I one day would like to, then I'm bound to have to have well-written characters that are nothing like me. So then how will I get past that... !
