12:30 AM: Okay, teeth brushed, meds took, I'm gonna go to sleep and sleep as long as I can and it's gonna be awesome and then tomorrow's gonna be so productive it'll hurt!

[Time passes]

??:?? AM: oh hey, I woke up, but let's not get discouraged, that was a really long dream, I'm sure I got at least five hours. I can take a morning shower! Like morning people! And then I'll stay up all day and go to bed early!

*checks clock*

I have to write two essays that both involve some pretty extensive research, but I only have to do them at the same time because I was without power for four days and the school was without power for a week, so naturally everybody fell behind.

My english teacher gives everyone a two day grace period on every assignment in case something comes up and we need the extra time. No points are taken off if you need the grace period, and it's great. I was going to use the grace period for one of these essays because she assigned these two things to be due on the same day, and that is obviously unreasonable and overwhelming.

Well guess what

Apparently, because both of these assignments were due when no one in this part of the state had power, she had to push them back. Which, according to her, means that everyone is using the grace period right now! Because we "failed" to submit the assignments when they were "originally" due, we must now all use the grace period to begin them!
