AU where John Winchester meets Mary Campbell, they both have teenagers of their own, a freshly 18 year old Dean Winchester and a 14 year old Sam Campbell.
John and Mary had been seeing eachother for a few months now, and they both think its time for their boys to meet eachother.
On the drive over to the Campbell home, John gives Dean the basic speech of, "I'm sure you'll like him, good kid. Smart, too. Only four years younger than you. Mary says he goes to your highschool." And Deans like 'Sure, yeah, whatever.' Not at all keen on meeting this kid.
But the moment he sees Sam step out onto the front porch with his mom to meet his new Stepdad and stepbrother?, holy shit. It's that cute nerd kid he always passes in the halls between classes.
He spends the whole afternoon just staring at Sam, barely speaking unless asked a question. All the while, poor Sammy is like 'Oh no, thats the guy who always shoulder-checks me in the halls. I'm so screwed. This guy hates me.' But those harsh bumps and nudges are Dean's version of flirting. Cause why talk to the person you're interested in, when you can make them fear your mere presence instead?
Dean may be stupid.
Anyways, later that night back at where the Winchester father-son duo call home, Deans livid, he's been drinking, and John doesn't know what his problem is, was it Mary? Did he not like the concept of a Stepmother?
Until Dean blurts out, "You've ruined my chances of screwin' Sam!"
John's quiet for a moment, and then "..He's fourteen, Dean."
