This phenomenon could be exacerbated by "feeding" the woods their repressed emotions -Continued exposure can also cause humans to mutate into beastly residents of the woods -Very rarely the woods will allow someone to leave, but refusing to feed the woods with your emotions early on may make it reconsider taking you, if you've wandered too long and proved too valuable this path will be locked from you -If that path is locked from you the best way for escape is to find a high ranking fae, eldritch, or undead and ask them for the exit, beware, their help does not come without cost.
