I'm not ace, but people who are actually interested in sex are...too much for me?
It's like everyone sexualizes everyone and everything all the time? And I hate that. It irritates me on a level...
Or perhaps it's because we live in a patriarchy, and there's so much misogyny...
I know there's people who are interested in sex that are also deeply irritated by the general oversexualization of... everything, but I don't know...
It just feels simpler to be with someone who's not gonna sexualize the world 24/7, even jokingly.
For example: I remember one day, I wanted to make someone I trusted watch a TV show I really liked... They could not even go through the first episode because the villains were using weapons that apparently looked like dildos...
I had NEVER even thought about it like that. For me it was just weird sticks that inflicted magical pain wherever they touched (a chest, a shoulder...).
Now that I am much older I get it. The women using these weapons are dressed in leather, look like dominatrix, etc... But that person should have been able to immerse themselves in the show without thinking "dildo" every ten seconds. 😑😑
