I had two no-shows and no chance to reschedule them before the research project is due (Hence the very specific schedule that allowed them to pick times they could show for).  My schedule this week is utter balls.

IDK if they forgot, or didn't have anything and were too nervous to show, or just couldn't find the woman with eye-searing blue and purple hair sitting exactly where I said I would (I am too low on the academic hierarchy for an office, so I meet students at the on-campus cafe).

I'm mildly annoyed but primarily worried. Despite weeks spent on how to cite and avoid plagiarism, there's always a few who just won't, for whatever reason, cite their sources. Which means that if there is plagiarism in the final project and they didn't catch or correct it, the project is a zero (I'm encouraged to fail them, actually, although a zero on the big research paper often amounts to the same thing). Hence the revision conferences - a last chance to see if anyone is still struggling after a month of work on the research project (largely independent, but with periodic check-ins).
