I have something 2 say that I think about a lot. As a gay man it really frustrates me when people misuse the word twink. Twink is very specifically a word to describe a common body type in the gay community, specifically a thin, generally "hairless" (as in he shaves everything besides his head hair lol) young (or young looking) man.
It's not a personality descriptor. Yeah, a lot of twinks might act feminine, but that's not part of being a "twink". It's just a body type. If you're looking for words to call a feminine gay man, perhaps the words you're looking for are things like "fairy", "poof", "fruit", or maybe even "faggot." (this is sarcasm, by the way.)
The point is, it really really feels like people are using "twink" as a way to get around using slurs to describe a stereotype. And hell, if you're not a gay man, maybe it's not really your word to use anyways, is it?
