Ahh yes hello!!!

So I started with this guide/recipe by Brain Lagerstrom. He explores 3 methods of baking bread using the same dough, so no matter the equipment you have on hand you should be able to make a good bread, nothing special is necessary. This bread takes a while, but it’s mostly hands-off so it’s not much to worry about, you just need to have the free time. Also, instead of just using commercial yeast (which turns out quite bland…), he has you making a preferment the day before you want to bake your bread… it creates lovely flavor :) overall, this was my gateway into bread making, so I’ll always recommend……

He has made a sequel to this video recently, which I’ve yet to watch fully, but does seem to be a good improvement on the original!

And if you want a bread that’s even less involved, you can go for King Arthur Baking’s No-Knead bread (or any no-knead bread, really.) I love making this bread, and the long, cold fermentation really gives the resulting bread loaf excellent flavor, with much less effort… definitely recommend doing the full week, if you can… also the poolish vs cold fermentation do produce noticeably different flavors
