Okay, here we go! đ I will most likely leave the rest of the troupes for tomorrow, however I am publishing this as evidence of how far I can go before actually doing the other stuff I was supposed to.
That said, I also had fun, hopefully you all like it too!
Being best friends with each Spring Troupe member includes...
Sakuya
Being best friends with Sakuya is a present from the heavens
He loves going to school together. Now that heâs in Mankai, Masumi goes with you two (sometimes even Banri)
Sakuya asking quietly if he could call you to have dinner at the dorm and literally beaming of happiness when you actually get to
Pushing him on deciding to join the theatre
âItâs what makes you happy, right?â
âY-yeah!â
âThen go for it, I know you can do it!â
Heâs always so kind with everyone that you make sure to tell him all of his good points so he knows them too
âDid you see me, Y/N!? I was up there! On stage!!â
âThat was SO amazing, Sakuya!!â
Hours of you watching and helping him practice with his script with the river and the sunset behind you two
You being there when he breaks regarding family matters after special holidays or birthdays
âWe will⌠always be best friends, right, Y/N?â
âUntil the end of times and moreâ
Sakuya treasuring your friendship so much, thanking having you by his side
 -
Tsuzuru
Best friends with Tsuzuru means he knows you inside and out. No secrets allowed.
You message each other so you stop procrastinating and he stops overworking
âAre you my dad, Tsuzuru?â
âWant me to smack you, Y/N?â
You sometimes arrive at the dorm and find out heâs sleeping after writing a new script.Â
You smirk. Itâs drawing time
âY/N, I SWEAR!â
Movie marathons. So many movie marathons. Tsuzuru enjoys spending time with you like that, just a relaxing night with nothing to do. Best time of the day
Throwing movies, books and old references at each other that no one else understand
Calling you late at night because he gets anxious about life in general. Appreciates you trying to talk about other stupid things so his mind wanders
âThank you for being thereâ
âWhere else would I be, you sillyâ
-
Masumi
Ah, friendship with Masumi. What you needed to get a place in heaven
Just kidding. Everyone is shocked when they see how easy it is for you and Masumi to talk to each other? No one can believe how comfortable heâs with you
You two are those type of people who did not expect to be friends with each other, but somehow, there you are
He rolls his eyes every time he sees you in the dorm though
âGet outâ
âMake meâ
Masumi pretends he doesnât want you there but in reality he doesnât know what heâd do without you.
You stealing his headphones and he just sighs and allows you saying you better not break them
Helping him to try to involve himself with others and also smacking him when he starts crossing lines with his no-filter attitude
ââŚthanksâ Masumi sometimes blurts out of nowhere. And you grin, because you know he isnât the best at expressing himself and you really appreciate those honest moments.
-
Citron
Heâs the enthusiastic cheerleader best friend. Whenever you need him to be, heâll be there two days earlier, with handmade signs at hand and a vuvuzela.
Citron running to show you something new he learns enthusiastically because he wants you always to be proud of him
Loving how he mispronounces words, so you sometimes not correct him because itâs just fun
âBut Y/N didnât say it was bad to call other people âmy bitchesââ
âWell, it IS, Citron, make sure to tell themâ
You two probably walk around Veludo Way, watching people and making up stories from what you can gather at first sight
Citron loving hearing you talk. It calms him and somehow fills him with a nostalgic feeling.
He also likes how he can be serious with you and you will take him seriously at any moment, leaving jokes aside
âWe are the most besties, are we not, Y/N?â
âThe mostâ
-
Itaru
Being Itaruâs best friend means heâs subtle he thinks he is, but gets extremely defensive of your friendship from others. He comes home from work and you are talking or laughing with someone?
How could you
âOh~ I guess now your best friend is Banri, uhâ
âItaru, pleaseâ
Gaming. So much gaming.
âFUCK YEAH, TAKE THAT, Y/N!â
âITARU, HEADPHONES, REMEMBER?? YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE ME DEAF!â
Making fun of his immaculate appearance outside and the homeless look he has inside the dorm like a must.
Distinguishing his real smile from his fake one
Being there when he was at a loss point and getting so happy when he calls you to tell you he had found a new passion with theatre
âItâs good to hear you happy with yourself again, Itaruâ
Itaru smiling softly as he hears how you will be there every time to record him, whether itâs allowed or not.

Hiiii! May I have Masumi scenario where he falls for director's friend who is a singer as a hobby (the boy needs some love and respect, I always feel bad for him T_T). Thank you for the great content!
First things first! Thank you for suggesting the request dear đ Second thing, this got longer than I thought so youâll have a second part soon!
Masumiâs still underage so I also had to choose a closer age for sweet reader but leaving a connection with Izumi and everything else intact. I hope you and everyone enjoy it. đ
Title: More than I expected
Pairing: Masumi Usui x Singer!Reader
Masumi couldnât believe his luck.
He was on his way back home when he saw Izumiâs figure in the distance, walking inside Veludo Station. Was that destiny? Hurriedly, he moved his feet in the same direction.
When he arrived looking for her, a pair of squeals caught his attention, more than anything because one of them came from Izumi. The other, from you.
Who is that?
He stumbled when he saw his dear director hugging you. He still hadnât hugged her.
âYou are so big Y/NâŚ! Wow look at you.â
Izumi released the grasp as she moved around, looking at you up and down. You laughed at her enthusiasm âIzumi-san, itâs been less than a year since we saw each other.â
âAnd yet you look so different! Itâs-â
âDirector.â
You both turned to see the Hanasaki student standing next to you two.
âMasumi-kun! Didnât see you there. Already back from school?â Masumi didnât answer, frowning in silence in your direction âAh, let me introduce you to Y/N! They were my neighbor in the area I lived before coming to Mankaiâ
âHi thereâ you waved at him. He kept silently looking at you. Was he okay?
ââŚanyway, they are going to be living in a rental house close to our dorm. Please be friends with them, okay?â
âIzumi-san Iâd like to remind you Iâm starting my major this semester. Iâm not a kidâ Izumi stuck her tongue out playfully to you. You rolled your eyes amused.
The spring member saw all the luggage you had brought. So you were a friend of directorâs, uh. He yawned. You didnât look like competition, so he decided he didnât care âDirector, letâs go to our houseâ
âIâd appreciate you didnât phrase it like that, Masumi-kun.â
âMember of your theatre company?â she confirmed your suspicions. You two had talked a bit about what she was up to whenever Izumi came back home to visit her mother. She had also been the one to mention the rental house near the dorm for you to move in after all.
âIâm going to go home laterâ Izumi explained while putting a hand on your shoulder âI met here with Y/N to help her move.â
âMe too.â
âSorry what?â
âIâm helping too.â
                    -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
âA major in vocal performance, thatâs amazing! I am so happy you made your hobby turn into your dream. You have a great voice.â Izumi exuded genuine joy as you all headed to your place. âDo you still work on your music mockups? You used to have manyâ
You looked with the corner of your eyes how the boy just walked next to Izumi in silence, not really trying to take part in your conversation. Maybe he just wasnât the talking typeâŚ? You decided not to pry. He had really taken a big part of your luggage, after all.
âY/N?â
âAh, sorryâ you laughed, taking notice of her enthusiasm âYes, well, If I find the time between lectures and work! Iâm almost done, I hope. Heard thereâs this famous company that accepts demos from new singers to promote themselves.â
âThatâs so cool! Iâm sure theyâll love you.â
You smiled. It felt good to see Izumi again after so long. She had always been like an old sister, supporting you as you grew up. You would always be grateful for her.
A few hours later, because it took longer than expected, Izumi ended up inviting you to have dinner at Mankai, much to Masumiâs luck.
                      -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Weeks passed by as you finally got used to the whole aspect of living alone, not that there was much to do. Izumi kept telling you to come a few times a week to eat at the dorm and you had grown fairly confident in your control over the washing machine.
As a whole, your daily routine had also become easy to follow, however, something was up.
You had many trial demos in your apartment. Many. But nothing struck you enough to send it to that company people were all about, so you kept making more songs, hence, your stress.
You were starting to think it was because you had become too used to your sound that it started sounding bad âMaybe I shouldâŚâ Having just left the station to head home from university, you noticed the quiet spring member stepping out of the Veludo music shop. You stopped walking, an idea forming in your head.
âMasumi!â
Recognizing your voice, the boy sighed. Every time you greeted him or asked how he was doing over dinner, Masumi found himself unable to push you away due to your relationship with Izumi.
âEy! Sorry if this is sudden but I just remember Izumi-san telling me you liked music?â you mentioned as he left the store with you behind him.
âSo.â
âWell! The thing is, Iâm a singer. Or, well, an aspiring singer. It used to be a hobby but it grew on me you know.â
âDidnât knowâ
You raised an eyebrow âWe talked about it the day you helped me with my move, rememberâŚ? Iâve talked about it with everyone having dinner too.â
He shrugged, not bothering to answer.
âAnyway, I recalled Izumi-san telling me you have good taste in music, so I need your help with somethingâ
He stopped walking and looked at you.
                   -.-.-.-.-.-.-..-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
âDonât you have friends to review your songs?â
âI do, but what I need is the opinion of a stranger that could as well tell me what to change and thatâŚâ you turned to point him as you opened the door to your apartment ââŚis where you enter.â
âRemember to-â
âYes, yes, I promise to tell Izumi-san you helped me.â
He sighed, entering in your place. He hadnât paid attention the first time, but it wasnât that bad. Your room was filled with CDs. You had a microphone set and headphones standing in the corner, most likely to record yourself.
âWhat do I need to do so I can leave.â
You punched him in the back angry, could he get more impolite? âI want a few of my songs to be approved to promote myself but Iâm not sure which ones, so I want to hear your thoughts. Easy right?â
Masumi sat on your bed as you prepared the room. He was only half paying attention when he heard you singing.
He hadnât expected you to sound like that. He focused on your voice, low-key admitting you had a pretty good balance. The concept of the lyrics wasnât that bad either. After you finished, you took off your headphones and looked at him, seeking opinion.
âSo you really are trying to become a singer.â
âWant me to punch you again?â
Masumi shrugged âIt was okayâ he got up but was forced down when you pushed him âHold on, Reynold-kun, I really need more than that before I send this in.â
âReynoldâŚ?â
You looked at him as you sat on your study chair. By his confused look, he didnât know him âMusic critic? Famous for his sharp tongue? You guys would be twins!â
âDonât call me that.â
âThen just tell me your opinion about my piece.â
You saw him frowning and although you kind of imagined at this point, you discovered that Masumi did not have a filter whatsoever. He started talking, spending a few minutes giving his thoughts. You whistled unconsciously as you grabbed a pen from the desk and started notes âDidnât think about any of thatâŚâ
He leaned on the edge of your bed âCan I go now?â
âDo you mind if I ask you to come in a few days after I change some things?â you looked up at him.
âDonât.â
âIâll go to the dorm thenâ you shrugged. You had to admit he had impressed you âYou ever thought about studying music? You have a good ear.â
He looked around the room. Truthfully a small part of him thought it hadnât been bad, although he wouldnât admit it ââŚnever thought about it. Also, donât come to the dorm.â
âToo late, Omi-san already sent me the menu. Your parents might disagree?
âI just need director.â
âEh~â you smiled at him, your hand resting on your chin âBut I didnât ask that.â
For some reason, Masumiâs stomach twisted, a weird sensation running âStop smiling like that.â
                    -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Over the next weeks, although mainly forced, Masumi saw himself spending more and more in your house.
At first, he had been uncooperative, not even with Izumiâs help. However, he soon discovered had lots of tracks from different types of music, many new. And so, while you corrected your songs, in exchange, you let him listen to the CDs. He had tried to take them home so he didnât go that much, but you disapproved the idea of separating yourself from your precious discs.
He wouldnât say it out loud, but it also didnât bother him as much as he thought.
âMasumi do you- ah, are you going to Y/Nâs place?â Tsuzuru looked at his roommate as he crossed paths with him in the entrance.
The student stopped before opening the door, unable to contradict him ââŚkeeps bothering about their demo unless I goâŚwhat do you want.â
âWe were just going shopping. Itâs okay, Iâll ask Sakuya or someone else, say hello to Y/N for me.â
Tsuzuru had to hide the smile that grew on his face as the high schooler walked out of the dorm to yours.
Whenever you came to Mankai to have dinner now, the whole dorm had noticed how you had been able to enter his world fast. Well, as far as fast was in terms of Masumiâs walls. Â
âTsuzuru-kun? Did you ask Masumi-kun to come?â
âHe left to go to Y/Nâsâ
Izumi smiled when she heard the reason. It really had been a gratifying surprise when she saw how many conversations Masumi initiated with you. Mainly about music yes, but that wasnât all. Over time, he seemed to have grown comfortable with you. The biggest changes were moments when he would still meet with you even though Izumi was asking for people to accompany her somewhere. They were rare of course, as Masumi still trailed behind most of the time, but they were there.
Izumi knew Masumi wasnât conscious of it yet, but something inside him was changing, and you had become the key.
Who out of all troupes (you're dating) would agree to watch anime with you. My ex always said anime is stupid đŞ Also I saw the rules about the max amount but here I'm more or less just ask for like the most to less likely to watch it with you? Like just names. I hope it's fine <3
Itâs more than fine, thank you for the question! đ
Oh god good thing you put that ex- in front of him! Never approved of people who criticize othersâ likes or hobbies.
Mankai watching Anime with S/O
Letâs see! Well, I genuinely think none of them would turn down you asking them to watch anime together but as you said, some of them strike me to have different approaches, hence, this classification:
First, you would have the âhard-coreâ group. I feel like they would get really invested while watching almost any type of anime, having even posters and/or small toys of their favorite characters, so they would for sure watch it with you! Maybe even prepare a date-like marathon of some series you both liked or meeting to see the new ones that air. Add some chips, drinks and they are even more excited than you!
Here you would find:
Citron- No further questions needed, he loves it and needs more space for all the cute merchandising he has (where did he found the money for them, you donât want to ask)
Taichi- He has the time of his life watching with you! You both are usually commenting on everything that happens in the episode. Sometimes even trying things to see how they would turn in real life.
Itaru- Okay, all the games that turn into anime? Heâs seen some even BEFORE you. You got angry but he watched the together with you again.
Kazunari- Insert one hell of an amount of fanarts here. He sometimes asks if you even would want to go to the comicons together.
Homare- He would never say no to being exposed to anything art related (even more if you suggested it!) turns into big critic-review mode whenever you two end a series or specific episode.
Banri- Here comes the known-it-all. You end up bickering about which turn is too decided what to watch, however, thatâs just because he loves teasing you. Heâs usually fine with anything you put.
.
Then follows the âDaily watchersâ group. I think they very enjoy watching it but even more if you asked them to do it together (more time to be with you!) They sometimes miss things so they are grateful you fill them in with information. Sometimes, they even suggest staying in the dorm to keep up with the new season of anime starting, usually having somewhat of a preference for genres but allowing you to educate them around others.
We would have the following:
Sakuya- Heâs pretty chill with whatever you end up choosing to want, enjoying them all wholeheartedly. Whenever someone in class mentions a new anime he runs to talk to you about it excited of how you would react and starts planning when to watch it.
Misumi- Heâs delighted whenever you tell him you found an anime he might like. Hugs you from behind and hums as you both watch that series. Also, competition to see how many triangles you find in an episode at least once per series.
Muku- You and Muku could be the expert couple regarding shojo anime. Gushing and enjoying time watching it allow you to relax each otherâs company. Friendly discussion whenever you two donât agree with the main pairing.
Hisoka- To your surprise, Hisoka gets engaged rather easily in whatever anime you decided to watch, leaning on your lap or shoulder.
Tenma- He was a bit skeptical first, but heâs starting to become closer to the âhardcore!â group as time passes. Whenever heâs out working, he calls you and you both watch it in a conference call.
Tsumugi- His students usually give him tips when he mentions an anime you might like to watch. He comes home and you two discuss to watch after dinner
Yuki- He tends to look at how the character dresses but ends up getting absorbed in the dynamic of the episode even more than you âI thought you didnât appreciate why the lied to their familiesâ âChanged my mind, now shushâ
Tsuzuru- In a huge family like his, heâs super familiar with many animes and references so he would gladly accept watching both old and new ones. They also help him a lot to get new ideas for the plays so it killing two birds with one stone
.
Finally, we have the âCasual but curious!â group. I would say they had never had much contact with anime but enjoy it with you because it means cuddling time and because seeing you simply happy watching or reacting makes them smile too. After some time they might even start asking you to put more different genres to watch together.
Here we would find:
Masumi- He accepts mostly because he loves how you rest in his arms as you two watch the TV. However, at some point he starts asking you to go with him to buy that CD from the last anime you watched together. He now has collection.
Azuma- Loves seeing your reactions change so fast as the episodes progress. He would usually prepare some drinks to have and relax watching your favourite series with you.
Omi- Even though his siblings and he himself watched anime when he was younger, he never really kept watching it as he grew up, however, he fully appreciates whenever you start explaining things to him he forgot. He usually prepares some snacks too.
Juza- He relishes any time he has with you, doesnât matter what you two are doing. Most of the time you two usually get together and enjoy watching episodes after he finishes acting practices or if you both donât have anything after school.
Tasuku- Not a problem if you ask for an inside-date bingeing anime. Sometimes he frowns at whatever is going on as he gets lost a lot though âDid that person start glowing up in the middle of the basket court?â âYepâ
Sakyo- Surprisingly ok although it wasnât in his plans, he always follows the story of whatever anime you guys are watching with a rather critical eye and you find it hilarious. He blushes when he notices it.
