14.) 2012-2017 - A.L.L. (Against All Logic)

Nicolas Jaar, the man behind A.L.L., has been behind some of the most well regarded experimental electronic music of the decade, but here with 2012-2017 he is just having fun. With his side project he makes sounds that bob with African drums, and lift with soul samples. A cowbell pulses through “Rave on U”, and “Some Kind of Game” has a woozy piano that perfectly compliments the spirited sample for which the song draws its name. 2012-2017 shows that even when Jaar isn’t trying to bend minds with his proper projects he is capable of writing music that can fill a dance floor, and make us smile.

Life Changes When You’re 9

Here’s the next post in my ~*~ Beginnings ~*~ It’s where my life changed and began again.  A realization kicked in as I approached my 9th birthday that Life Changes In A Moment.

Happy go lucky Suzie, had a great childhood in a wonderful small town where everyone knew everyone (many related to each other).  I did ballet, tap, twirling and still had time to play with my friends and get the homework…

The radio played this song to death, and I absolutely loved it! Eric Solomon was a great era, however, he has now changed to Eric Zayne (it's pretty cool his new sound).
