black sand is the work of A. Evans (Auckland, New Zealand).  Kaleidoscope EP is billed as “six tracks of backwards guitar, drone and psychedelic rock n roll. Put your headphones on and enjoy the ride.“  For backwards guitar and drone, this is pretty melodic.  It reminds me a bit of Straitjacket Fits, and late 90s/early 2000s Yo La Tengo.
